Meet Claire Most: writer, model, business supremo, food obsessive and denim-lover. Claire edits an urban culture magazine that’s all about music, fashion, and lifestyle, and when we caught up with her in she was busy writing about new sneaker releases. We love Claire’s attitude to style: she keeps things simple, casual and cool. That’s why we asked her to pick out her favourite pieces from our latest summer drop for a daytrip around her neighbourhood. Although she grew up in Paris and loves to travel further afield, Claire still loves discovering new, hidden places in her hometown.
SUMMER OF LOVE
Claire Most reveals her true loves: food, denim and sneakers.
“I love to write about urban culture: music, fashion & lifestyle. My style is rather effortless, my looks are simple and casual.” Claire
We love this 70s-inspired jumpsuit, its retro high rise and belted waist has a super-flattering, 100% summery look. We've been making overalls for more than 125 years; Claire loved how, this season, we've gone a little disco with cute shorts, a short-sleeve top and zip-up fastening. It’s perfect for a night out: “I love wandering around and going to bars with friends, talking until the early hours,” explains Claire. The retro logo tee trend is unstoppable this year, and Claire went straight for a vintage-look Lee® tee, scaling up the size for an easy, slouchy look – perfect for tucking into our 5-pocket shorts with subtly lower rise and raw edge.
“I love skirts! They go with everything and are so comfortable. I wear a lot of denim jackets too, it’s easy to pair it with other clothes.” Claire
So, where does a young food-fan hang out in Paris? “For brunch, PaperBoy is my favourite, without hesitation; it's delicious.” Her favourite Italian is Presto Fresco at Étienne Marcel: “their truffle burrata is crazy!”, and for ice-cream she loves Pozzetto, “especially the Fior di Latte flavour.” Claire chose a 70s-inspired retro button-up skirt to go exploring in, adding a cute knot to a short sleeve palm print shirt, and tried out a slouchy, faded tee with delicate open neck that looks perfect with denim. We’ve gone all out this summer with denim shorts and skirts, all with a retro edge.
